Case Study: A Conference Run to Remember

Lausanne, Switzerland | SaaS company | 25 participants

For a global SaaS company bringing its team together in Lausanne, the idea was simple: get people out of the conference room and create an experience they would remember.

And Lausanne was the perfect place to do it. Set on the shores of Lake Geneva, the waterfront at Ouchy combines lake views, mountains and beautiful open spaces. It is also the heart of Lausanne's Olympic identity, with the International Olympic Committee based in the city and the Olympic Museum overlooking the lake.

We took 25 employees out for a guided run along the waterfront, giving the team a chance to see the city, get moving and connect outside the usual conference environment.

We took care of the route planning, coach and the details that made it feel like an experience rather than simply a run.

Everyone who took part also received a branded finisher's medal, giving them something tangible to take home and remember the experience by. Whether they walked or ran we met them at the finish line, medal in hand. What made this event so special was the CEO standing on the finish line personally handing out the medals and waving people in. That isn't a culture we can create, but it's one that we can celebrate and enhance, with a little branded running magic.

There was no focus on speed or competition. People ran, chatted, took in the views and enjoyed being together.

What we delivered

  • 25 conference attendees

  • Guided run along the Lausanne waterfront

  • Carefully planned local route

  • Qualified coach

  • Branded finisher medals

  • Inclusive pace for the whole group

  • A memorable experience outside the conference room

The result

No one has forgotten it.

We still get sent their Strava memories from the run.

And that's exactly what we want from a Run Collective experience. Something that gets people moving, brings them together and becomes one of the moments they remember from the event.

Planning your next conference?
